Hotel Windsor, Nice

Andreas Angelidakis is 50 years old, Raymundo is 26. Andreas Angelidakis was a finalist of the Nam June Paik 2018 award, Raymundo still counts the great collections in which his videos are collected on the fingers of one hand. Andreas Angelidakis is art-chitect and dreams of virtual monuments that build themselves and decide according to their tastes where to live, and how. « Everything is a simulation, the way the real building is in the mind of the architect. The material as simulation of reality is an idealistic feeling that goes back to Plato ». Raymundo is a dreamer and builds the memory of the future.
The two artists, a few decades apart, find themselves in the surreal world of our brain, its structures, architectures, tectonic plates, its folds and unfolds, its memories, its desires, desires to live, to understand: in a very particular enjoyment of the image. For Camera Camera, Raymundo shows Mémorama, a short film that takes the question of memory back: by its fragmentation, its evanescence, by forgetting and by absence ; Andreas Angelidakis shows Troll, the story of the Chara building (Joy) which at a certain point decides to leave the city of Athens to go to the country — or what may become of architecture in an as yet virtual world.
What links the two artists, among others? They are both iconodules, tirelessly.
